About the publication

Practical guidance for the people responsible for IT

A publication for working administrators

Happy SysAdm helps hands-on administrators, sole IT managers, small internal teams and managed service providers solve operational problems. The focus is Windows and PowerShell, recovery, monitoring, internal service desks, remote administration, virtualisation, storage and cloud operations.

The aim is to explain both the next useful action and the limits of the evidence behind it. A research-based comparison should help you narrow a shortlist and design a meaningful trial. A practical guide should state its scope, the risks of a change and how to judge the result.

Ownership and history

HappySysAdm is an independently operated publication owned and written by Stuart Kerr Spindlow. This domain previously hosted a system administration blog by a different author. The current publication has separate ownership and editorial responsibility.

The earlier publication is not evidence of the current owner’s experience, qualifications or testing. New editorial content is independently written; historical publication dates and personal claims are not inherited.

Editorial independence

Commercial relationships do not determine which tools are included or how their limitations are described. Product links currently lead to official vendor destinations without affiliate tracking. Any future compensated placement will be identified.

Happy SysAdm stands on its own. Related portfolio publications have different subjects; shared ownership alone is not a reason to send readers elsewhere. The editorial policy explains source verification, AI assistance and the distinction between documented features and observed results.
