Scope & evidence

Research comparison for authorised IT support. No hands-on session, latency or file-transfer benchmark. Operating-system and mobile capabilities need a representative pilot.

Research-based; no hands-on test claim.

TeamViewer Remote

Teams evaluating broad remote-support workflows

Remote access and support across supported device platforms.Do not assume commercial use, mobile control or every governance feature is included in a base plan.Check current commercial plan, users, concurrent sessions, managed devices and add-ons.

Check current pricing, minimum commitment, renewal and support terms against your exact requirements before purchasing.

Write the required session model

Count simultaneous technicians and the managed devices that need unattended support. Separate one-off attended sessions from persistent administration. Include operating systems, mobile devices, elevation needs and file-transfer requirements.

Splashtop Remote Support documents concurrent-user licensing and plan-specific managed endpoint allowances. TeamViewer Remote is another candidate for remote access and support across supported platforms. Verify the commercial offer; a personal-use allowance is not permission to operate a paid support service.

Inspect controls at the selected tier

Confirm MFA, role scope, SSO where required, session logs and access removal. Ask how a technician is restricted to approved devices and whether sensitive features such as clipboard or file transfer can be controlled.

Do not assume a governance feature shown in enterprise marketing is available in the entry subscription. Check mobile control separately from screen viewing and validate the required operating-system permissions.

Compare a complete annual scenario

Model technician concurrency, managed-device count and expected growth. Include add-ons, support, renewal terms and cancellation conditions. Splashtop’s concurrent model differs from named-user licensing; verify how many people may be registered and how many may actively use the service.

Use current vendor pricing or a written quote for the actual region and billing term. No price-based winner is declared here because the team size and feature requirements are not fixed.
